KALAIMAN TOBACCO
S.M.MOHAMED IBRAHIM is a private limited company which has head quarters in Pudukkottai. Its main business activity is production of scented chewing tobacco. The company was founded in Pudukkottai by his owner S.M.MOHAMED IBRAHIM in the year 1950. It was started with a capital of rupees 6000. The raw material was mainly bought from villages in Coimbatore district and Nagapattinam district. S.M.MOHAMED IBRAHIM Pvt. Ltd, the flagship of Kalaiman group is one of the prominent players in the market.
The company's principal activity is to manufacture and market chewing and processed tobacco. They manufacture various categories of chewing, namely full flavour, lights, ultra lights and menthol lights. At the initial stages this factory manufactured up to five tons per year and now it has grown into a unit with a capacity to roll out more than twenty five tons of chewing tobacco per year.
There are around 200 employees in S.M.MOHAMED IBRAHIM Pvt. Ltd. It is organized into 5 functional departments. The departments are: General Administration, Accounts, Marketing, Human resource, Production.The company's principal activity is to manufacture and market chewing and processed tobacco.
